Windows will never die as long as PC gaming is a thing. PC is the largest gaming platform, and is tied to Windows for the time being. There isn't the commercial backing in the gaming industry behind Linux for it to replace windows.
Lots of professionals depend on Windows for their work.
So yeah, Windows is probably going to lose out on some markets because normies do most of their computing on their phones or tablets, but Windows will always be around.
