Well, now I know what I'll be getting for my next build.
>old shit supporting old useless shit
hmmm makes you think
who cares about support, we need prices

fpbp
Half of pajeets in pajeetland are on pirated W7 so it's understandable.

if the hardware didn't work on win7, Id have to fucking get gpu pass through to work on linux and try use windows 10 with a condom on it, this immediately makes my upgrade FAR more appealing knowing i'm not getting dicked.

I'm excited that this will apply to Raven Ridge too because of Bristol and Summit.

I care, i don't plan on investing in any cpu that's win10 only
lol @ the intel sucker rage in this thread
I was really close to going AMD again, but this 7700k build is going to happen next week.
Time for me to embrace the Win 10 botnet.. Hey at least I get 4k Netflix support.
Good luck AMD!

Just throwing my two cents in. Recently upgraded to windows 10 mostly because I wanted to try out dx12. I regret it. I'd say either go with a 6700k, or wait for ryzen.
>>58834759
My concern is that Ryzen will be a failure.. I want it to match/beat 7700k.
Also 8.1 loses support for 6700k??

>My concern is that Ryzen will be a failure..
How? Intel is panicking now.
>>58834775
Well then. Wait and see.
Zen doesn't have to match/beat the latest intel offerings, just compete.
If zen doesn't take your fancy, then prices of Intel chips are still likely to drop, so worth your while to wait and see how it plays out.

Kaby Lake also supports it with old drivers.
Microsoft is artificially trying to make those companies drop support for Windows 7 so they can migrate to W10. Disgusting company.
A good reason to NOT buy Kaby Lake CPUs is that they have built-in DRM. This is anti-consumer and should not be tolerated.
