What's the best VPN for torrenting?

Someone posted a promo code for NordVPN so I bought it and it's way better than cyberghost.

Just repurchased nord for another 2 years. So far so good and I'm running it across native apps, 3rd party openVPN clients and a router via OpenWRT. Just make sure to read their article on IPv6 as currently there don't support it so you gotta disable that shit client side or in the router. Probably not the fastest solution for torrenting though.

How much does using a VPN slow your normal internet traffic?

I've no real security issues but I've seen a VPN for $3.33 a month for a year which is nothing.

a VPN like torguard, using the US-based servers -- i can host games with minimal loss of ping, download at 100% of my pipe, etc.

most VPNs are not like that. most are crippled or triple your ping / halve your pipe.

nordvpn is as slow as any other, but OP probably has a tiny baby pipe so he doesnt realize that.

The best is not to use one at all.

I use Mullvad and it works fine.

I've tried PIA and AirVPN (currently using AirVPN). They both easily max my shitty connection, so I can't say which one is better or worse. The AirVPN client is 100x better in my opinion and the company just seems more trustworthy than PIA. But PIA has faster connection speeds (not bandwidth, just how long it takes to connect to a server) and is cheaper. Overall I'd still prefer AirVPN for the better client and peace of mind.
