Is this safe to use?
>>58823141
Aye.
>>58823141
define "safe"
will you get raped by angry Nigerians? no
will you probably go to jail? probably no
>>58823141
NOPE
>>58823141
Yes.
Unless you live in a country where you can get in shit for torrenting, go ahead.
>>58823141
Yes
has anyone ever got punished for pirating
every software from public tracker = bitcoin miner
Piratebay is old as fuck.
And it's not good site for anime or software. But it's decent for Tv or movie shit
>>58823220
Yes, i've been to jail for 7 years and had to pay a 200k fine.I wish i was subscribed to a SuperVPN™ Service for only $59.99 a month i could have escaped this nightmare.
>>58823240
not necessarily true, although if you dont know how to look out for one ie excessive resource usage, you may have a few hiding on your PC you didn't know about. that being said, almost all of my software is from public trackers. no bitcoin miners or viruses. seems like video game repacks get hit hardest in regards to bitcoin miners.
To answer OPs question, yes it is safe and no it is not a honeypot. Although joining a private tracker is safer and has better quality control.
>>58823220
My mom grounded me.
>>58823266

>>58823220
I know someone who got his internet connection cut for torrenting
>>58823141
It might be better to use the torrentproject.se
>>58823220
My isp cut my internet and gave me a lifetime ban from their services. I just switched another one and I've been fine ever since
>>58824066
I had that happen to me before piratebay shut down a few years back. That's why I posted this thread.
>>58824242
Who did you have?
>>58823220
Got sent a message from the Canadian government. Exited out the window and continued to pirate ever since.
>>58823258
I miss kat.cr. It had every anime (or at least most) and cartoon shows I've ever watched along with a decent amount of classical music.
>>58824632
kat was balanced torrent site .
It was good
>>58823141
MPAA-gestapo hasnt deported me yet, so it should be safe to use.
>>58824582
How long ago was that?
Here in leafland I pirated The Hobbit and my ISP called my jewess landlady. They asked her for my name and she ratted me out.
I have literally torrented from sites including Tpb since 2004, never even got a warning letter because I'm not a retard.
With the money I've saved, well, let's not go into that.
>>58823141
I've never gotten in trouble. I just only grab torrents from verified users.
>>58823141
>download movies and music for years on my dad's internet with no problem
>download one 5 minute porno clip on tpb and get an angry letter from ISP with the name of the file and everything
>it wasn't me i swear
>>58824784
torrenting porn is generally kinda pointless desu. maybe only worthwhile for 4k videos
I've been using TPB for 10+ years
It's been the most consistent and reliable, when it's not down, compared to almost every torrenting website I've ever used.
The only website that came close for my personally was Demonoid.
>RIP In Peace
Also, Yify was my go to for movies for awhile when TPB was down or inconsistent.
I've also never used a proxy or VPN while torrenting, and I started torrenting in the mid 2000's. Live west coast USA. Maybe I've just been lucky?
>>58824846
It depends, like for some sites that let users make a private uploads and won't share with anyone unless you subscribe or be friends AND meet their requirements in order to get accepted. Sometimes you can usually find a torrent of whatever you're looking for if you dig hard enough.
Yes if you dont live in europe USA USA USA
>>58824242
Wow, what a stupid ISP.
>>58823220
Got a letter from my ISP. Purchased a VPN and I haven't gotten a letter since.
>>58823141
>have VPN
>no problems since
>>58823220
Uni found my forgotten seed of Black Snake Moan. Wrote-up, no charge. Got laid off that movie too.
>>58823258
And books. And games. The torrents no one wants that I need.
>>58823141
Only if you don't live in the land of the unfree
>>58823220
I got a couple of letters way back in 99 or something, I ignored them of course, nothing ever happened.
>>58823141
As safe as any public torrent site.
It largely depends on where you live and which ISP you use.
>>58827204
USA and i have Frontier
>>58824342
Used to have Charter cable. Now I'm with AT&T
>>58823141
