I really dont beleive this. Will he commit unethical and/or criminal acts? Yes, probably. But without an audio recording or some other "smoking gun" he'll always be able to fire someone lower down the chain and blame it on them. Bannon has already been furiously eliminating paper trails all over the administration.

Personally I don't update things unless I have to. I think my Win10 install was last updated in Jan 2016, after that I force disabled all updates. Same for my phone and all apps etc. Only reason I went with 10 at all is because I wanted d3d12, turns out there have been no games better on 12. Should have sent with win7.

99% of the time updates for anything just make something worse. It becomes slower, or cluttered with useless features no one cares about, or start showing ads, or change the entire UI enough to invalidate your muscle memory but not enough to make a meaningful difference to ease of use.

Never have I updated an app or phone and been like, "wow this version is so much faster and more useful than the previous one! it breathes a whole new life into the product". I either don't notice any difference, or I find that it's now worse.

(I keep my VPSs up to date but only with important security patches, never features.)
