Is AIMP the best? I tried MusicBee but didn't like it.
Foobar fans pls go.
Test
Musicbee if you don't want customization, Foobar 2000 if you do. If you use anything else you're a retard.

Musicbee has a lot of customization

What platform? Do you care about open source? What kind of features? Personally, I've found Tomahawk and Clementine excellent if you want customization and a "jukebox/lots of features" style player. Other alternatives include Rhythmbox; all of the above are open source anc cross platform
If you want a "winamp-like" light player, then look into Audacious and QMMP for instance; both are still updated with some frequency.

aimp for local, spotify for streaming

aimp is best on android and windows and audacious is best on gnu/linux
AIMP and MusicBee feel identical.

That looks pretty

To be fair, it's mostly the gtk theme that makes it look nice. Although the player is good also.

What is so great about AIMP? It has even less personalization options than MusicBee and Foobar. I don't see what the appeal is.
