Yes after using my previous Xperia for 3 and a half years, finally bought a new smartphone. Shit, should have spent it on a full-blown vacation.

>think about buying latest smartphone
>it doesn't do anything my 1st gen Moto G doesn't do
>don't want it anymore
What is even the point? What are people doing on their phones that requires an upgrade? The only reason I'd upgrade is for good battery life but nobody is even offering that.

Nice blog.
>Think about buying the latest laptop with growing anxiety and fear

I think they count on normies reflexively upgrading every 1-2 years as a matter of course. Or same normies being clumsy and breaking their phones frequently.
They'll probably keep doing that until it stops making money. I wouldn't be surprised if the market splits into two halves: cheap-as-dirt shitty chinkphones for third-world countries and $600+ flagships that first-worlders are expected to purchase on a two-year financing plan.
>buy s5
>very fast, much faster than the s4 I had
>skip 2 years
>go buy the s7
>is barely faster, if at all
smartphones are stagnating
>Nexus 5x 16GB starts bootlooping and is out of warranty.
>Fuck may as well buy a Pixel.
>Use the Google store call back warranty support feature.
>An hour later a Nexus 5x 32GB refurbished unit is in the mail with 2 day delivery.
