any code for file transfer is just retarded.

Read the man page for cp or mv command. It only takes a single line.

How the hell do you think OSes work?

Nigger why are you using sudo to move files in what I assume is your home folder?
>>
>>58807637
Are you this dense? Any time you have to write in a terminal just to transfer a file is retarded.
>>
>>58807637
>How the hell do you think OSes work?
the code should remain under the hood retard. not being manually typed by the user.

Dense retard alert.

loonixtard here and that's just stupid.
I could write exactly the same thing about windows.
>transferring files with a command line
>open terminal
>cd directory
>ls
>cd directory2
>ls
>cd howdeepdoesthisgo
>ls
>cp /holy/fuck/i/have/to/write/the/whole/path/down ./

>transferring files in windows
>ctrl-c
>open destination directory, porbably just by clicking a shortcut on the left panel of explorer
>ctrl-v

But besides that, why there seems to be the notion that linux = do everything in command line?
It's 100% normal for a linux user to be copying the files exactly the same as in windows. With a file explorer and ctrl-c ctrl-v, or drag and drop.

This is why.

Transferring hundreds of small files is the hardest and slowest thing to do for a hard drive. If think it's OS dependent you're literally retarded.

always safely eject your usb drives, because delayed write is a bitch
>>
>>58807554
You can actually do it with one line lad.

And you don't have to fight with pop up boxes denying you permissions and all this other shit. It just fucking works.

Linux is going to die soon. It's for cucks, too much work, no video games, and /g/ is starting to wake up against it. Face it lincucks, this is a windows board.
>>

I have no problems with transferring, speed is good.

There are programs to make it faster. I remember a friend showing me a program called teracopy or something like that, with over 50% faster transfer speeds over default.

Interesting you say that considering that even Microsoft recommends using Robocopy via PowerShell when copying large amounts of data.

God windows 10 are such fucking shit.
I think Ive run into like 5+ problems since in installed them 2 days ago on my new kaby lake setup.
Why cant microshit just copy paste win 7 and add a new UI and call it new OS?WHY?
>>

Not him, but I also have to use sudo to move things to and from my home folder. Some setting I enabled while drunk I think, and I just adapted to it rather than find and change the setting.
