Alright /g/ I need some advice. No memes please and amdfags need not apply. My current processor is an i5 4670k. It's currently clocked at 3.5 and I noticed that the usage goes to 90-100 frequently. I was thinking of buying a motherboard and overclocking to 4-4.3 if possible. Is it worth it to buy a motherboard or buy a new processor? I play games that are cpu intensive from time to time so it would help a little I guess. I currently have my eye on an asrock Z97 EXTREME4. My current board is an h97 so overclocking isn't an option on that. Any advice?

I'm out

What the fuck lol
You'll have to buy liquid cooling kits as well so fuck that.
Try unparking your cores and blocking some programs from startup-launching via revo uninstaller or something.

Get a better cooler. Maybe even water-cooled if you want to go big.
If you want that Asrock I hope you are getting new with warranty, according to some users they got mobo that was DOA or died in quite short time. I have mine over 2 years now running i5 4690K @ 4.6 GHz cooled by Scythe mugen 4, it gets around 80°C at OCCT and 70°C in CPU intensive games. Just donte get M.2 drive for it, it is slower than other Z97 boards from competition.
