17 different CPUs
are you hyped yet?
Hopefully they dont fuck their prices
>Budget $100-200 (R3 )
>Value: $180-300 (R5)
>Enthusiast: 300+ (R7)
It seems like they going with the i3=r3 structure. Hopefully this will make intel to finally incrase the cores on their next lineup
>>58795821
If they manage to give me a ~$100 4c/4t that actually brings Kaby Lake i5 performance, AMD wins
>>58795750
>R3
>R5
>R7
Microsoft copying Apple ain't got shit on this.
>>58795750
The PRO versions are enterprise-only versions of the vanilla CPUs, so it's not really 17.
>>58795750
R3, R5 and R7. Fucking seriously? You can tell their naming convention was a complete Intel ripoff.
>>58795821
My face when Intel prices drop like wet cum.
>>58795941
AMD has had the same naming scheme with their R3, R5, and R7 GPUs.
>>58795994
and R9
consumer 16 core zen when
>>58795879
The full spec is sr7
For summit ridge

>AMD won't ever release 3 core cpu again
>tfw 3c6t would be the comfiest CPU ever
>>58796118
you could say it would be very odd
>>58796056
For a start it would be nice if the chips on the left would actually perform as well as the ones on the right. I don't want to see an 8-core merely competing with a high-end quad from Intel.

iktf
[spoilers]it's actually got the 4th core unlocked
>>58796150
It's just a first iteration of the architecture. More optimizations will be done down the road. It's already very good, though.
>>58796150
They're probably price tier comparisons. From the CanardPC benchmarks we already know the bugger has the IPC of Broadwell. Clocks are the real question.
>>58796150
All rumors, anon. AMD is keeping all the juicy information from Intel.
Isn't Ryzen supposed to have a base clock of 3.4GHz?
>>58796219
The high end Ryzen (R7 1800X) has it I guess. Or maybe it changed from 3.4Ghz to 3.6
>>58796219
Su's statement was something like
>At launch, all Ryzen CPUs will have a clock speed of 3.4ghz or higher
3.4ghz was supposed to be the minimum speed available at launch. That could mean all their chips are clocked to at least 3.4ghz, or it could mean only the high clocked more expensive chips will be available first.
