Hello /g/
I've had my PC components housed in a HAF-X tower for a couple years now, and absolutely love it. Pic related is the side panel that has a convex piece for what I can only assume would be used in conjunction with the fan inside to increase air flow within the space it makes. I'm making this assumption because it's right up next to where you'd place the mobo heatsink and GPU.
Here's the question: is pic related absolutely useless? Should I remove the convex piece from the back of the fan to increase airflow?
Not even a freshman CS student who wants to at least guess? Fuck it, I'm taking it off.
If anything the plastic covering is just going to obstruct the flow of air. So the question is, do you want a directed airflow or not?

This is what I was thinking. Which is more optimal between directed and open airflow?

Do you want to specifically bring air to a component? If yes, direct the air towards it. If not, then take it off. Experiment with it on and off and see which is better.

I have haf-x is too. Honestly it is garbage case i wish something that didnt weigh like dead cow. Plastic is useless unless ur gpu is 100c 7/24

If you have a non reference card just turn the fan around and make it vent. But remember to bump up the fan speed on the front of your case.
Anything else and you're a fucking faggot.

So it's situational? Thanks.

I'm not worried about the weight.

Oh she's spinnin'. UOENO

Why would a freshman or even senior cs cuck student know anything about airflow you fucking retard
