So a friend of mine has lined me up with a basic IT job at a hospital but I don't really know a whole lot on the subject of IT related duties. I'm definitely not normie-tier retarded when it comes to computers but I'd feel comfortable saying I'm not an advanced user either.
What sorts of things should I research/freshen up on before my first day so I don't look like a retard?

I would start by analyzing the job description as they will be asking you about items on it.

Hospitals are where people go when they lack any ambition whatsoever, so just coast like everyone else.
You should learn as much as you can by you're first day or innocent people could die as a consequence.

What kind of infrastructure will you be managing? Windows desktops with domain controller? If so you can do everything via gui and should be easy. Any linux servers or network configs that you will be responsible for? Phones? WAN connections?
