How on earth is that networking?
We learned the details of shit like TCP, IP, Ethernet, OSPF, RIP, and many other networking abbreviations that you can think of.
>>
no he did not say that please no
>>

We did, it's the last lecture, basic HTTP and HTML and some basic stuff about web browsers.

>basic HTTP and HTML and some basic stuff about web browsers
>Application-layer shit
That is not "networking" in the proper sense. That is an extremely limited part of the much wider topic that is networking.

>Last lecture
The course is shit anyway. I had to learn directly fro m Cisco starting from the electrical properties, up the OSI layer to Application. Happy now?

Isnt cisco the industry standard at this stage? Shouldn't your lecturer go through Cisco CCNA or something and the OSI model
>>
>>58770862
I did networking courses at university, including much more advanced/cutting-edge topics than I assume you would find in a CCNA, but yes, the OSI model was mentioned earlier on.
We used Juniper equipment, which the majority of the research and education network that goes across my country uses.
>>
>>58770862
Cisco is shit, there is more than Cisco in networking and it's a pile of stuff .

The CCNA material has mostly IOS crap in it, but it does teach some general things, like subnetting.
>>
The networking and Web Dev professor at my Uni is a CS Major. Super cool dude, hella tats, smokes weed (I assume) and he has to teach dumb ass Business Infosystem cucks how to write java and php. Idk how he does it.
