3GB or 6GB, is it worth the extra money?

3gb is not even the same card. Get 480 4 gb.

the 480 is significantly more than both in my country. the 1060 is the best value.

I've jewed myself out of 2 usable cards because I didn't buy enough VRAM.
My 650 Ti Boost & 950 were 1GiB & 2GiB respectively. Both became unusable before their time, because everything is becoming more VRAM hungry.
Don't jew yourself.

Get 1060 6gb then, 3gb is gimped abomination in best gimpvidia traditions.
4, or 8 gb
Novidya cards are gimped on release

>EVGA
The difference in performance is roughly 5-10%. Meanwhile, pricing difference could be more than 30-50%.
1060 3GB can be had for ~$150+. 6 GB could be had for about $200+. Thats about 30% increase in price, while only about 5-10% performance increase.
As the card is only really a 1080p card, its not relevant to get 6GB.

>Both became unusable before their time
>unusable
Lower the fucking texture quality.
I don't get you people who think a GPU can last 5 years on Ultra. Sure, a good GPU can run 60+ fps on 1080p, but not on high settings.
