If possible export it. I'd like to give a waifu cycling skin a shot.

I'm currently using a custom color themed refocus.
>>
>>58759905
But for real, is this happening for everyone else with the new skin? I'm seeing videos on YT in Kodi 17 with Exodus displaying the correct views (poster view), but mine is just showing a list.

Is it just a difference in the release version that hasn't been updated in Exodus yet? Or is my program bugged?

I know I can just switch skins, but I actually like the new one a lot.

>Android isn't fragmented if you just buy non-fragmented devices
Which is completely arbitrary and subject to change at any moment, this is the fragmentation problem people talk about. I'm starting to think you're just goading for attention at this point, you haven't said anything meaningful yet and are just looking to argue over literally nothing just because I want to learn something. If that annoys you then I'm sorry but you can get bent, I'm fixing my shit and you shouldn't be mad about it.
>>
>>58762623
Playing videos on a TV while using a UI designed for this purpose and keeping an organized media library. Using a TV remote or a smarphone remote like Yatse is much better than mucking about with mouse/keyboard in order to control regual PC video players.
>>
>>58765911
A I'm saying is that you wouldn't have to do something as ridiculously complicated as porting Android to your device from source if you just bought a tablet that wasn't 2 years outdated and then got mad it never was updated from then on

Being a smart consumer is easier and more reliable than being a dumb consumer with the knowledge to fix things yourself
>>
>>58759468

>>
>>58765959
I've had to do this for every Android device I owned and I've been using them since the G1, it just so happens that others are willing to do it first. Every device I've ever owned has been better supported by the community than the official vendors.

>Being a smart consumer is easier and more reliable than being a dumb consumer with the knowledge to fix things yourself
I couldn't disagree more. I'm not going to buy something with the same specs just for a software upgrade, that's retarded. If teens can do this shit in their spare time then so can I. You act like it's some monumental "ridiculously complicated" task.

I'm still blown away that I'm actually reading this on /g/, someone is trying to talk me out of porting an OS to my device on a technology board. Installing Linux to a device that already has support is a complicated task. What the hell is your motive and or problem? What specific product do I have to buy in order to shut you up?

you can't use the remote and you lose the UI if you use an external player coupled with it not to mention mpv is a pain in the ass to use as it's external on Linux

If you're watching mongolian motion pictures you might have to down convert them, specifically anything that's 10-bit or h264 high L5.0 has a habit of playing like shit with loads of corruption.

>tfw you get your media to play just right
>on a Pi Zero
>except you want to enable AC3 transcoding and has a habit of lagging everything

I don't understand why this software is popular. It's looks like shit, it's slow as shit, it's inconvenient as shit and it's fucking insecure now. Should I reinstall everything just in case there is more than the python file?
>>
Reminder that Kodi is a botnet.
>>
so I got a new OLED 4K HDR TV. I have a decent PC and I use modbro to stream from my phone. What should I get if I want to comfortably watch shows/movies on my new TV? I prefer to build my own library and download shit upfront than stream on the go.
Should I get plex/kodi and build a HTPC? Or get some ready made thing? I am not super technical but can manage things, dont look to spend too much time tinkering. Also, I got money but want to spend it wisely.
>>
Should I format my computer ? I used this add on.
>>
>>58791151
The tech illiterate retards over at /tv/ made it popular and the crossposters brought it here.
Anyone with half a brain knows exodus is a pile of garbage.
>>
>>58791367
Not just the add on, kodi as a whole is a complete piece of shit.
>>
>>58791381
with a good external player and a good skin it's alright
>>
>>58791397
It's obviously htpc oriented. I installed it on my PC and just the big retarded mouse pointer made me want to puke. Also it doesn't even scale properly in windowed mode. I probably shouldn't have thought it was a media center for PC. I just wanted to stream movies easily, but I'll just stick to my browser.
>>
>>58788119
>Enjoy your updates
I fucking am man, turned on my TV one day and it was on 7.0
I mean shit, it looked like it silently updated without even being on 7 yet.

>It's obviously htpc oriented
no shit

it was originally designed to be used on the original xbox, it was always meant to be used on a standalone machine connected to a tv

>the big retarded mouse pointer
it's designed to be used by a controller/remote, not a pointer. some themes don't even support mouse control

it's not going to replace simple media players like mpc-hc, just as mpc-hc can't replace kodi, they aren't competing
>>
>>58759844
My Sony smart tv came with kodi preinstalled. Check if you can't get it off the store

Where have I seen this? Oh yes, every fucking Loonix ever, up until two years ago, so now this shit is even outdated for Loonix standards.

In the trash it goes!
