As for making a new setup?
Well I blew £200 on a new Thinkpad so I may have to get a new desk in a few months after I've saved enough for something a bit better than some cheap shit from Ikea

I haven't made any progress on cleaning up my room yet either. First week of the semester has been busy as I've had to work hard to unfuck my sleeping pattern.

I know it seems like I'm sucking corsair's cock here, but they make good shit. It is a tad pricey, but these are worth while upgrades because it's doubtful you'll need to do much upgrading for some time afterwards. I recently went from a setup similar to yours to one with the case and watercooling I linked above, as well as a 6700K and 32GB of RAM and the MSI X99A Gaming Pro Carbon, not saying you have to do this build, but upgrading will make your rig much faster, much more powerful and the c70 will make sure all your stuff is protected and you can carry it all safely to and from the LAN party

I have to recharge it maybe once every two or three weeks. I have a desk level USB port, though, and just plug it in there. Just temporarily becomes wired until I take it off, and it is always fully charged when I think to.

Dude, download one of the popular DAWs, get a cheap MIDI controller and watch some youtube tutorials on how to make the music that you want to make. You won't be a pro overnight, but it's literally that simple to get started.

Ikea Thyge. I think it's great because the height is adjustible and the legs take up really little space. You can get Tabletop and legs separately of course, as with most of the Ikea office desks. The tabletop is 160cm wide. My 5" speakers already have one corner over the sides, but that's because of the Alex drawer thingy taking up an additional 20cm overall around the screen, which is about 97cm in width. I think a sub would be pushing it and you'd be better off putting another cabinet or something next to the table.

Comfyness + comfy frequency response. I didn't like the M50x, because the high mids were too harsh and highs didn't get high/clear enough. It all depends on the person though. Best way is to test them.

Agreed, you can't do step-by-step adjustment for each channel, but I've found that I rarely need to do that. The Philips like color wheel is enough for me.

I ordered the 43 inch curved KU6500, it was on sale and much cheaper than the KU6300 in my country.
It's basically the same as the KU6300 but with a curve from what I've read on rtings.
