Even with blower type cards, the small gap between the fan and the card below it means the top card is starved for airflow. It's less of an issue, sure, but it's still an issue.

A 750ti is the all around king among budget nvidia gpu's
1050ti is a bit too new to be as cheap
You can grab a 750ti for like maybe 70$ used on ebay and thats good for all around medium 60fps 1080p
>>
>>58769122
zip ties are your friend
shove as much shit behind the mobo as you can

a good way to do a quick cleanup is to get a psu shroud, you can buy the piece of curved metal on some online stores to specific lengths, so you can cover the whole base of the case or just til you hit the hdd trays
you can also easily make one yourself with a bent bit of plastic and some plastidip, grab a black plastic tote from walmart and measure out the dimensions you need to make a shroud, cut it out with a box knife and youre golden

If I had known about the countless issues with those things before I got mine, I wouldn't have picked a Predator. I've had to RMA that shit 3 times, the one in the picture is my third -replacement- unit.
I do really want to stick with it though and I hope this one lasts, because it's such an elegant solution. No ugly complex or long tubing runs, no ugly bulky block+pump combo, no gaudy LEDs. It's beautiful.
But there have been numerous issues with them. They should be fixed with this latest revision, but I can't help but fear that this one might crack and leak too given the Predator's history. If this one does fail I'll be moving straight on to a custom loop, at least I'll be able to keep the Supremacy EVO block in that case.

https://corsair.secure.force.com/kA1400000008WmuCAE
what thread would those be? I think they're the smaller thread size
>>
>>58771215
Right now there's nothing wrong with it, I hope it stays that way.
But the first one, the one I originally bought, started leaking after a few months because a plastic spacer between the pump and its fitting cracked. This is, or was, an extremely common issue and EKWB replaced this part with a metal part in later revisions. Second one leaked in its box, turned out EKWB had issues with O rings from a supplier on that revision. Third one didn't leak, but it had a case of fan and possibly (not sure on this one) pump failure. Fourth one is currently running in my system without issues.

I might be better off doing exactly that, and I do sorta plan to modify it a little for aesthetic reasons later down the line. I really want to keep this Predator though, because I am a fan of the rad+pump+res combo since it's less ugly visible bits and makes for a cleaner look overall, so I really do hope this current one doesn't fail on me. But if it does I'll be taking it apart to keep what I can keep for a custom loop instead.

but you have the most aesthetic case of all time
everyone in these threads envys your beautiful build
with that cute little physx card

a seahawk would look so out of place, it would be just a big fat AIO blob on the back of the case that covers up the mobo armor

i say fuck that, get the EVGA 1080ti when it comes out, unless its as fucktarded expensive as some people source it as being

is your case windowed? if it is i heavily suggest sticking a white led strip just at the top, to illuminate everything below it just a little bit

It is going to block some of the mobo yes. I am gonna probably wait until that rog 4k 144hz monitor comes out to get a 1080Ti. But ya I have been pretty undecided for cards. The Sea Hawk I kinda like cause it's the only card with good cooling that doesn't blow the heat into the case (and then through my H115i) I had considered founders edition also but they get pretty hot and throttle. It is windowed and I actually have an rgb LED stripe running up the front and along the top linked to my mobo LEDs

well for fucks sake anon now im just confused

my personal opinion, an AIO liquid cooler card would look terrible in your case, it would look cluttered having that many hoses around and having such a big block on the back of the case

and if the founders edition aesthetic isnt that great, then there are other blower card options, EVGA has their blower cooler card which is straight up sexy imo

and it has a 140w psu so power is limited

i was trying a radeon hd 3450, but the card wasnt putting out video
which doesnt matter much to me anyway, since i got 1.5gb of ram in the thing it already has 256mb of integrated vram available, and it performs about the same as i wanted it to with the gpu

Then theres no way youd push a single 1080 to the point where it thermal throttled the founders editions.

Only loss Id see in doing that is the speed to lose vs an aftermarket card.

No, I know it won't turn the fan off below 480W.
But guess what ? Neither will an HX750i, or plenty of other less retarded overkill PSUs, and if you go just slightly over their thresholds their fans will spin so slowly that you can't hear them regardless. You wasted your neetbux on a retarded PSU for your sorry excuse of a computer, good job. Chances are you'll never even go above 350W.

As for your CPU cooler, no it isn't "more than fine". If you want a quiet system, you get rid of that horrible thing, and if you want a quiet graphics card you don't get one that runs hot.

you want quiet? you can get quiet, very easily, high quality case fans, large fans at low rpm are best, a quality cpu cooler, i had a bequiet shadowrock lp that you had to stick your ear next to in order to hear it under average load rpm, a quiet gpu comes in the form of either having a fuckhuge cooler or being passive

I wanted the best of the best, hx1200i desu, I had the PSU you mentioned and it fried the 1060 6GB I had, while on idle, kek.
Stock cooler makes the same noise of am aftermarket xbox huge cooler, takes up a fuckton more space and give the pc less room to breathe.
Also adding more fans will greatly add noise.
The case had a HUGE fan installed which I took off as soon as I could. Use a sound meter and get railed by the truth.
I'm not going to criticize your stupidity or your hearing deficiencies, but that's about it.
Now say you're sorry and I might forgive you.
As it is, it makes 35/37db(with the sound meter right next to it), and today the SSD is coming and I'll get rid of the HDDs and get down to 30db or so.
And yes, I will save money for the next xx80, the actual one does not turn the fans on if you play at 1080p and you're not using some shoebox case anyway, educate yourself.

No, it didn't. The 1060 just shit itself out.
I just had a 460 burn itself up, do you think that's because my 1200w PSU wasn't getting it enough power? No. It was likely due to thermal runaway.

False. Larger heatsink surface area requires less airflow for same cooling. Larger diameter fan can provide far more airflow at a much lower rpm, making less noise.

Even so, it's been in this kind of position even with graphics cards that ran warmer than my current 960 since... I don't remember, around 2010 or so. Still works/looks as new aside from dust.
>>
>>58775199
Don't know what that anon is talking about with melting but he is right about just moving the soundcard away from the GPU. You're putting all of the radiating heat from the GPU right onto the soundcard. That plus all the electrical interference
But it genuinely is possible for you to blow that soundcard up, they have no real way of being cooled and they don't have any thermal shutoff safeguard like GPUs and CPUs do, they produce a good amount of heat as well. It really could explode
>>
>>58775233
You're right about most of this, but it barely produces any heat since the majority of the card is inactive, because I'm using its digital output. Which makes it kind of retarded to have a 200 USD sound card in my system at all just to effectively bypass every analog component and not use any of the X-Fi features, but my motherboard doesn't have an S/PDIF out.

It'd be a concern if I was using its headphone amp and whatnot, but as is it doesn't even get warm to the touch. The back of my graphics card does, but not so much that it's concerning.

The 6.gen i3&i5's are overclockable now via baseclock, thats probably why he has a "meme cooler".

And he probably "fell for the ssd meme" to get faster loading times for OS, progs and games.

And I'm guessing he also "fell for the 16gb ram meme" to not have to buy more ram in the next 5 years when games and shit actually uses more than 8gb ram. Infact, some games now uses 4-5gb which means 8gb already fall short if you have some shit running.
