Unreal's blueprints are pretty awesome, performance is good, but it's got less documentation and things change a lot. Unity is easy and has a huge community, but it's lighting system is utter shite, performance is also shite in general.

unity cuz it is free* and runs on linux

it only gets a bad reputation because you need to know how to drive but allows people who don't know to compete.
