actually the only good aspect ratio is 1:1.

>>58751346
19:9 is the plebbiest resolution.
It was created for drooling media consuming drones.
>expensive
literally the cheapest panels on the planet
>>
>>58751293

you mean
>28"
>16k
>1000hz
>OLED (with no discolor after time or burn-in)

alternatviely
>strapped to head
>smalled than a sunglass
>with build in computer
>64k
>1000hz
>OLED (with no discolor after time or burn-in)

this is true end game
not your shitty "end game in the next 5 years and no more improvement"

that is no exaggeration 87 years away

>8K "UHD"
What comes after Ultra hi-def tho? Mega hi-def 8k? Giga-HD?
>>
>>58751517
nothing

IMAX is 6k
70mm is 12k

there is no reason to go above 8k because literally no industry uses it
>>
7680x4320 at 32" is still less than 300ppi, its only 275. While a tremendous improvement for a desktop monitor its still nowhere near the pixel density of a smartphone.
Also G Sync is proprietary dead end tech.

16K SED or bust

Whenever patents run out if we're lucky. I forget when that is.
>>
>>58751191
Surely an OLED (that doesn't get burn-in or colour shift) would be better than IPS.
>>
I really hate how slow this process is

Sure, but thats asking an awful lot. If an OLED panel had no substantial risk of burn in over a period of 5years~ then it would be miraculous. They already have virtually all the qualities we'd want in a display.

Black levels, colors, response time, all great. Burn in and degradation is the Achilles heel.

>40" (the perfect size when sitting one meter away from your screen)
>8K (perfect for desktop usage: browsing, programming, creative stuff; games can be upscaled, doesn't matter so much when upscaling from 4k)
>240hz (butter smooth text scrolling)
>freesync/gsync (muh gayming)
>great color space (no expert here, but at least 100% adobe rgb for muh content creation)
>178° horizontal/vertical viewing angles (I like to masturbate in different positions)
>no edge bleeding (important)
>ambilight (optional)
>NON-curved (FUCK THAT MEME, I need to draw straight lines sometimes and don't want to be distracted)
>NO speakers (muh audiophile setup)
>NO usb hub (this stuff belongs to the keyboard)
>NO rgb meme shit (I'm 12 years old haHAA)
when?

realistically speaking, 4k 144hz is not too far off

MEH

ultra high resolution should be relegated to table displays and special purpose planning

I mean Desu anything over 2500px is truly unnecessary and even 1920 is good enough.

> it shouldnt look perfect and as clear as reality, its a TV, it isnt a replacement for what your eyes see

Instead why dont you just make Good tvs and monitors that'll last for 10 years. By the time it breaks down it will be completely obsolete by something else, but it should last that long (not just to obsolescence, but to where it cant even be used anymore).

Lets make TVs great again
>>
>>58753457

your poor eyesight apparently isnt good enough to understand his minimalist leanings

> translation: he challenges himself by engraving the letters onto his keyboard with a hobby scalpel
>>
>>58753421

T B Q H im mystified why there isnt a White pixel color element

they do it in some tvs for saturation of other colors like yellow

r-g-b-w

this way you can produce very bright whites and increase brightness without turning on all three colors to their highest

also no backlighting would be necessary since it would be done on a pixel by pixel basis
>>
ya until someone wants 16k cause 8k just isnt enough

or you can just keep putting pixels across the entire wall and link the panels at the pixel level
