Yea, depending on how you define that heavy use, probably not.

But I'm not professionally in the wilderness for months or whatever. Trips are during holidays and the like like most people do it, and it's really hard to make a modern (even not-the-most-robust-possible) knife like that break *that* rapidly. Always worked fine for me at least. Actually the sum total use on some knifes isn't that short now.

Dear gentoomen, my dad got chinked by gearbest on his Redmi 4 Prime. It came with a shop ROM and he's tried multiple ways of flashing a clean ROM so he can unlock the phone officially, get root access and install a clean ROM. Our attempts at EDL-Flashing were unsuccessful and the phone is essentially bricked now. Also, I had trouble myself with my RN3P from Gearbest, which came with a chink ROM. However I was able to replace that, so I thought it would be just as easy for my dad. Irrespective of the troubles he's had, he wants to buy another R4P, but one that comes with a clean ROM and no vendor chinking.

Which shop should I recommend him? I want my dad to embrace and love the chink phones like I do.

I'd check that it isn't the tips on your IEMs causing you issues if you haven't already. Might be better to use smaller ones even if they fall out a bit, or larger ones and not put them as far in. If that helps in the short term then you can just buy better or more varied tips.

He got chinked by Gearbest making it even harder than regular shops to get a clean ROM on the phone. The bricking happened while trying to get a non-vendor ROM on the phone. He may have fucked up along the process, I wasn't there. Regardless, none of the unbrick approaches either from the miui forums or Pajeet websites worked, giving errors while flashing recovery ROMs in EDL mode, etc. I'm sure there's a way to unbrick the phone, but so we haven't found it while searching the web over.
I asked my dad to send me the phone and have me try my luck with it. If it works out, my mom can use it to upgrade from her Moto G 1st gen.

Z2 pro user here, I'd say zuk phones are pretty solid for the price but I'd also recommend the regular z2 over the pro.

The OS it came with is great, zui looks nice and is easy to use. I've heard LeEco has one of the best Android skins for chinkphones though.

GPS is really great. Accurate and no issues yet.

I recommend looking at the redmi note 4, zuk z2, leeco cool1, leeco le max 2, doogee f7, or meizu m3 max. All pretty good phones for the price
