Dear /g/, I do a lot of typing and gaming while others are asleep and from what I understand you cant really get a quiet mechanical keyboard, so do you guys have suggestions for a membrane keyboard?
Programmable macro buttons would be nice but not required.

My roommate has a mechanical keyboard and I can fall asleep fine. Keyboard noise has a flow to it, it's sudden noises that wake people up.

A friend of mine has one of these and he seems to have no problem with it.

There are different switches for different keyboards. You could get something like reds or browns. Those usually don't make enough sound to bother anyone. Also, I would recommend something like the corsair k40 if you are just looking for rubberdome only.
