My on board audio is fucked three ways till sunday. recommend a good sound card that also I can also connect my front panel too.

Also general audiophile thread.

pcie soundcards are a placebo. just another way to squeeze dimes out of poor tech-masturbating losers.
>>
>>58736886

Normally I'd agree but I think I'm either getting crazy from somewhere interference or my onbaord audio is craping out. Sound card seems like an easy fix only reason I'm looking into one.
>>
>>58737057

Getting crazy interface*

I only get constant static as soon as Windows boots and no other audio. Already tried reinstalling the drivers, disabling other devices, tweaking the bios, etc etc. The sound only stops when Realtek is disabled and starts again even when reinstalled or when generic windows audio drivers are used.

Got an m100 for Christmas. Absolutely loving it so far. Most comfortable and clear headphones I've used. The boom mic was worth it too even though they jew you on the price.

Only problem is they feel underpowered sometimes. I thought they really didn't need an amp. Any one else have this issue?

This seems like a cancerous thread, but Im bored. Do you have your headphones plugged into the front jack?
>>
>>58737427

Not home right now but I didn't have my headphones plugged into the front jack. Tried reattaching attaching the connector on the mobo thinking it was loose and that didn't help. So I tried plugging in the headphones to the back panel and I had the same issue. I also tried used an old pair of USB headphones I had and those worked fine though.
>>
>>58737505

But I did* have them in front jack originally.
>>

Try a Chink USB one?

This is the one I'm looking at: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/External-USB-AUDIO-SOUND-CARD-ADAPTER-VIRTUAL-7-1-ch-USB-2-0-Mic-Speaker-Audio/32682826642.html

This, or DGX in the likely event that you don't have a PCI slot anymore.
>>
>>58737538
>>58737953
Speaking of which, do any of you know what the screws that keep the back-place in place are called and where to get them?
>>
Its not "good", but I got some cheap generic Vantec usb sound adapter and it works as well as I could have hoped for. I dont notice any sound quality difference. I think it was $20 or $30
>>
Get a Sound Blaster E1, plug it in thru USB and forget about it
>>
>>58736870
>>58737057
The solution is really simple, get some kind of usb FiiO or whatever. A really neat solution that is also mobile and includes a headphone amp.
>>
>>58737427
The front audio header sounds like shit on my chink motherboard. It's inconvenient for me to reach the rear IO panel every time I want to move my headphones so I got a 3.5mm male-female cable and taped it to my desk.

I've recently gotten my hands on these speakers they are in perfect condition but I have no amp or anything. What would be a reasonable purchase to match them for a completely casual music/movies setup?

Linus has a new advertising video about some GPS tracking shit and he uses "his" kid in the video.

Kid looks _nothing_ like him. Doesn't even resemble him in any shape way or form.

Was he cucked? Are kids adopted? Why did he cut his balls off? What's the deal?
>>

If you're just looking to replace your onboard audio for more volume / less static, pick up an $8 Sabrent Aluminum USB off Amazon.

PCIE sound cards are a waste of money.
If you want real quality, get an actual DAC - the Schiit Modi 2 at $100 is a great entry level audiophile DAC.

>>
>>58743991
I wouldn't expect anything great out of it, but for $10 as long as the inputs / outputs work for your setup, and it powers your speakers fine, I'd say it's worth it.
Would probably upgrade down the road though.

This i love my Fiio E10.
>>
>>58745845
we perfected audio some time in the 70's for speakers and 80's for headphones.

all that is happening now is shits getting cheaper as years go by.

add monks to that list
superflex that are 40$ to it
and kz iem's

the superflex punches well above its weight, as it contends with the 200$ headphones in terms of sound quality.
>>
>>58736886
they are definitely not placebo lol
>>
>>58736886

Look at this pleb. "I just care about what I see on my screen, sound is good enough kek." Get some real audio equipment and prepare to be blown away. And no Creative shit for you little gamers; my pro soundcard has a motherfucking fan on it!
>>
A friend gave me a pair of panasonic SC PM20 Bookshelf speakers. Can anyone recommend me a ok cheap amp so i can hooke them up to my pc?
>>
I have a xonar dx/xd, and I like how it sounds compared to my onboard realtek.

I've also tried aim sc808, and it had so strong headphone amplifier I had to set windows volume at like 5% so I won't get deaf from it.

Unfortunately it made audiodg.exe process reach few gigabytes of hogged ram after few hours of music, so I returned it. It's a real shame because it's sound filters and sound clarity were unmatched for me.
