I do view those sites for fun but that still doesn't help me find my usernames, unless they help me narrow it down letter by letter.

You don't have a text document with your shit written on it or a notebook full of scribbles?

If you do try looking there.

bruh, they didnt even have DSL where I lived, everybody was dialup where I lived
> except one fucker in the rich neighborhood had a T-1

one county over there was a place that was offering ISDN which at the time sounded like having 2 phone lines jacked into 112Kbaud modems, but it didnt catch on

I was into gaming back then and it seriously put a hamper on me getting into Q2 multiplayer since all we had around were 56K modems.

DSL didnt pop up in my town until college, like 2002. Only one provider.

I learned how to make basic HTML webpages when I was a sophomore in high school, it's not hard, just monotonous and boring with no pay off.

It was pretty fun to trick your friends into thinking there are websites dedicated to calling them gay.

>>
>>58743722

The death of multiple search engines. Off the top of my head, I remember using:

askjeeves
altavista
dogpile
www.www
yahoo

in addition to google for finding stuff. Nowadays, all that's left is Supreme Overlord Google, Bing (which nobody uses anymore since they started filtering porn), Yahoo (more legacy than anything else) and DuckDuckGo (which is a complete meme engine). And beyond that, it's more that everything you want to see is accessible through a search engine, which tends to bypass other interesting sites you used to see when sites had links to other sites on them.
