Who falls for these advertisements?

interestingly they make these baits especialy obvious so that the ones who take the bait go all the way with the scam and dont waste the time of the operators on the other side. same goes with the nigerian prince scams etc. make it extra stupid so you dont have to waste to much time on stuff you cant automate

I've never understood what happens in this picture, if you try to locate an IP how come a fictional place shows up? Shouldn't it just have printed the location of the proxy server?

They probably just do a lookup that returns a general area, defaulting to anonymous proxy.
If they are a bit clever, the also select the picture based on that, but I don't know about that.
