Had an Samsung gs3 and I used some custom Rom to get the latest android. There were plenty of small issues that fucked with me, like entering wifi password from everyone every time I updated the release, every time I received a call I would had the volume low and it wouldn't save, camera not loading and neeecing a restart, overheating...
Bought an iPhone 6s, it's jail broken on 10.2, 9.3.3 previously and it just werks
