I had an account, asked for a closing of the account. They literally answered with an email claiming they deleted everything. Not shortly afterwards, I got a new Email addressed to all my data (credentials etc.), in which they want to advertise their new Terms of Service to me, because appearently they changed them just shortly after that.

After a first proper and kind email asking them about this not-deletion (emailed support), I sent another email with just "fuck you" in it because even the new ToS were worse than before and I got mad and then they still answered that they now really deleted all this data. Again addressed at me using my credentials, which they deleted (a contradiction in itself). They apologized and shit, but I bet they still deleted nothing.

I strongly advice against the usage of Evernote.

Therefore "organizing" thoughts are bit unnecessary. My thoughts come naturally organized in the fashion my worldview wires me to. It helps that my worldview is analytical, logical and consistent enough.

I don't take notes. I tried to force myself to use onenote for that, but nah. It's an extra amount of time spent.

I use Onenote for school study and for shopping lists.

I used OneNote pretty religiously, but I found it difficult to use between platforms and devices. Difficult to export with limited file extensions.

Now I use Org-Mode inside of Emacs. It's just text and I can pull it up on anything. It just fucking werks.

I use "Notes". It's a very minimalistic app for writing down shit. It also have a sketch option, in case you want to draw something.
No idea if you can sync it or whatever, I don't do that.

So basically I interpret this mind palace thing as follows:

I make a 3D game in a 3D engine (bought one already), then I create a world in said engine and put the game on my projector, which changes the whole room into the theme of the projected image.
So then when I e.g. program in C, I go to spot A in my game and when I shitpost on /g/ I go to spot B in my game.
By doing it this way I can memorize more memes than usual?

I do use Evernote a bit on my phone for keeping track of food, but I feel pretty bad about it. I keep most notes in text files on my server. I leave vim open next to IRC in tmux for easy note taking.

I use devonthink to collate together info for research and record keeping. Most of the rest of the time I use a text editor which remembers open windows such as sublime text.

Tried a few task management apps but they're either shit or they don't help much in the long run.

Yes. I keep a Journal which I write into perhaps once every month or two when I feel like it. Haven't had much time to do it recently. Pen collecting is one of my hobbies so it's a way of me indulging in some writing/calligraphy to complement it. I like to meditate and look back on the situations in my life, my friend circles and relationships, etc.

For day-to-day stuff like classes I use either pen and paper or Notability on an iPad I got. I sync it all on google drive so I can access it easily on my PC [spoiler]don't judge me[spoiler] too much[/spoiler] I kind of got used to using drive as the only place I store cloud shit[/spoiler]. I have tried using Penultimate and Evernote but got pissed over the file transfer limit. Good thing too, given what >>58724162 says.

I use Todo.txt for a todo list (simpletask for Android and jTodo for PC, going to write my own later)

I use paper and pen for notes (if any) but wrote my own note taking app for Android to use for notes. Going to throw in Owncloud implementation and a desktop equivalent and call it a day.

I prefer One note but I usually use it with my SP3 in class to write down and solve math and random dicking around or stoned thoughts. To this day, I still haven't used it to type anything.(I type those out in a separate word document)

Pen and paper for lecture and book notes, it became a usable possibility once I fixed my handwriting somewhat and set on a 3 color scheme using eraseable Pilot Frixxion pens.

On the computer: Markdown mostly. Always wanted to learn Org mode one day
