Which is more profitable, IC design or embedded systems?

i would say IC design could be more profitable because less people are able to to do it - but on the other hand there are way less companies doing their own IC design so it may be difficult to gain employment in the city you want

I dont know. I only know that in germany you will get about 40-60k on entry level with a bachelor degree for any kind of this. Highly depends on the field and company
