I like VIM but holy shit is it bloated and absolute shit if you work with several jails.

>Create new jail in FreeBSD
>pkg install vim
>Number of packages to be installed: 107
>The process will require 468 MiB more space.
Are you fucking kidding me?

>pkg install nano
>Number of packages to be installed: 1
>The process will require 2 MiB more space.

Anyone likes to use classic Vi? I don't believe it. It is almost unusable if you're used to Vim.

Good joke!

I've fucking heard it all now
>>
vim only needs like three packages lmao
>>
>>58722047
vi itself is still a way better than nano
>>
>>58722315
vi on most systems is compiled from part of the vim codebase

Doesn't FreeBSD comes with ee by default as text editor?

Why would you need anything more than whats available anyway?, sure Nano its nicer but for the hassle of installing it you could just use ee, and if you need to do some extensive text editing Vim and emacs are better.

Have you read the OP? It installs 107 packages against Nano's one.

Never used it. Gonna try it out!
