It isn't. You scan a code to get a key and then generate auth tokens based on that key and the current time. Your phone and the server share the key so they don't need anything else. Your phone never actually contacts the server or vice versa.

NF WEBRips if done right can surpass AMZN WEBRips. At the moment only mindphuk (-NTb) seems to be able to losslessly decode NF instead of using a capture card, so his rips can sometimes be better than AMZN. Still, AMZN would be better in most situations. iTunes is trash, never download it. AMZN > NF > iTunes

Hm, interesting. I don't know if Ntb always gets it right and they're pretty much why I've been turned off to NF rips? The rips they just did for Riverdale and Degrassi aren't great, but that's just from my recent memory. Which sucks, because there aren't any other non-HDTV rips of either in 720/1080p.

If you didn't like NTb's recent rips (which are decoded from NF) then pretty much all NF rips aren't gonna be nice for you. Since his is decoded from the H.264 stream, and most are capped from the H.265 stream, they'll just look worse. You might wanna stick with AMZN.
