Seasoned web shit here. looking to test drive before dual booting a linux os. Have exp with centOS, n00buntu. Oh btw I don't care about ""muh botnet"" because i dont look at CP so gentoo is out of the question. TIA

second this, but not months, 1~2 days between tries. at first couldn't go past partitioning, next couldn't configure my location, then couldn't install grub. when I did though, and booted in my installation it felt great. now I am struggling to install a DE on it, slowly and steady I will make it. after screwing with arch will do the same with gentoo

Not many. It's based on Ubuntu 14.04 I believe, which is still supported by Canonical. (Current elementary is based on 16.04)
