Material design is terrible and boring. It's for programmers only, not designers.

Agreed. Minimalistic and flat shit is incredibly dull to look at and screams laziness.

I really like material design, maybe I'm the only one. It's clean and simple, without being flat (unlike Windowns 8/10): 3D is part of the design language, if you bother to read the guidelines.

While it's great for mobile, I feel it's way overused on desktop sites. If you have a mouse, you don't need oversized buttons.

It's probably the best design ever invented.

It's shit. There's minimalism, and there's trying to appear minimalistic with fancy animations and eye-stabbing colors. Google trying to put it on desktops too is ridicolous, just look at the google images buttons.
