What is the future of Golang? I am about 1 1/2 years into python and the general cs/linux/programming landscape. I want a webdev/fullstack job in the near future. Does Go have a place in what I am trying to do? (PS have a gaping hole in javascript skills)

>fullstack
What does it mean?

I guess it means working with the database/data logic all the way through the viewing layer that is displayed to end users, often times integrating multiple languages, paradigms, and technologies in the process.

Looking to figure out how does golang and it's future uses fit in with an existing python knowledge base to prepare someone for a webdev/fullstack position, suit and cigar relevant

Then stop worrying about Go and learn javascript. You are much MUCH more likely to need it than Go

I think that was the response i was secretly looking for, but really wanted to not hear because i really want to continue learning go ><

You can learn both. If your priority is to get better at the field you're going into, you need to at least focus on learning the relevant languages though.
