Got any projects going, or into this stuff at all?
I've done some simple fixes on old guitars and amps. Getting deeper now, studying up on a '30s era cabinet radio in decent shape, might try to get it running.

Eh, it was one of the first things dude bought after coming off the boat and getting established. Gramps remembers it from when he was a kid and ain't gonna be around much longer, seems like a fun challenge. Gonna need a truck to get it to my place though.

I am the thread's only replier. What is wrong with it? What is the model of the radio? What else can you tell me about it? Do you have pictures?

usually this stuff is posted in /diy/

Figured as much. I'll head over to /diy/ when I get into it more. It's a ways away so no pics for now. Was just over there last week and only thing I really diagnosed on it was that the wiring was rotten enough that I wasn't about to plug it in. Otherwise, it's fairly clean and simple looking.
