I found an ASUS RT-N66U on eBay for about 50$ in used condition. Is there any harm in buying a used router? I've heard that its performance decreases as the years go, so would getting used fuck up my internet speeds?

It's possible but I don't think it's too much to worry about. Anecdotally I use old routers almost exclusively and I've had no trouble. Really your connection and wiring should be the only issues desu

It should function like new as long as the internals are fine.
