Any of you guys running the new Pentium G4560? How do you like it?
No but I had an i3 6100 last year which is basically the exact same chip and it was ok. If you're on a tight budget you can't go wrong.

just wish it had come with an unlocked multiplier like the g3258 did
if they'd done that AMD would be kill

>using botnet 10
No thanks.

Would this be a good upgrade from a Phenom X4 940? Based on CPU benchmarks this seems to be about 50% better overall. The cheapest i5 I can get without going used is 150 bucks more. Not sure if that's worth it.
running the g4600 which is just 100mhz higher with better igpu. It's real nice, had some trouble because I had to update mobo before using it. Also haven't tested any games since my PSU shit itself. You can install Windows 7, but it'll be a real problem finding the drivers, I ended up installing 10 after I could not find the drivers for it.
CPU scored a 389 in cinebench, I could not test the GPU because again, PSU shat itself

why NOT go used?
i bought a used i7 3770k back in the day and it's still going strong

Can you really get stable 4.3 GHz?
>>58683610
You can't kill that which can't die
it's not even out yet and every single store is ppricing it at $75+.. why is not $64?
>>58683982
i'm not saying it like i WANT AMD to die, rather that it doesn't make sense to me why intel just didn't
>>58683798
are you running on igpu?
can you see if this video works fine?

pentium? more like bentium
>>58684007
It's definitely out. I can get it for 59 eurobucks
>>58683618
you can run 7 on it just fine
>>58684101
longer bipelines bls
>>58684069
Yep, running on the igpu.
Sadly I just took out the PSU, it was a chink raidmax that came with my case, PC would just shut itself erry time I tried running a game or anything 3D intensive. Hopefully will get replacement monday.
However from what I managed to do, it can run Overwatch at over 75fps med settings 720p with 100% renderscale and no fxaa; and runs any Dolphin emu at 60fps on any res with no problems.
Idk about that video but I'll save the link for later.
First build and I'm learning the hard way to not cheap out on my parts ;_;

What about Linux?
>>58684332
what? even more so
just in case:
microsoft is the one dropping support for newer processors on their older operating systems, not intel
intel did nothing
>>58683610
Its well known in the industry that intel is keeping AMD alive else it would become a monopoly and be forced to give x86 licenses to other manufacturers
