Should a Tech company be named something unique or something recognizable?
Both. Look at Grindr. Great name, great service, very recognizable, and most of all I feel really unique using the app.
My websites name is not the same as my business it's name.
Drop the the. Just facebook.

ur just jealous you dont get to enjoy all the fun one can have on Grindr. Don't be shy, anon. Come join
Make it at least a bit unique.
Naming your hosting company "online" for example is a pretty bad idea.

There is no "One Way" when it comes to naming, however, its' beneficial to understand the different types of names that exist and which convention may inspire you. Here's a partial list I've put together than may help:
>Just scream and then name my company after that.
>Find a local ethnic cemetery and start swinging heavy objects.
>Words that can be used as a verb are good. Words that can also be a noun are great. Words that are associated with the holocaust are the best.
>What you don't know can't hurt you, so call a small company's customer support line and make threats when you feel frustrated.
>If all else fails, realize that you're probably going to be on 4chan for the rest of your life so it really doesn't fucking matter.
