Algebra + some basic calc will get you like 80% of the way there. For the rest you'll need linear, diffie q, multivar and discrete. Mostly discrete

Unless you make games or scientific applications all you need is algebra.

If you want to make games and scientific applications then you need calculus, linear algebra, discrete math and so on and so forth.

If you aren't a math wizard you can still be a programmer. Creative problem solving is a big part of it - it's totally possible to make a decent salary with nothing more than Algebra.

if you want to actually program cool shit like 3d game engines you should knot calculus, if you want to just be a code monkey babby or web devver then 6th grade math is all you need to know

if you want to go into game engine development, physics, AI or ML, audio and video codec development and such then you need a lot of solid advanced maths knowledge.

if you just want to build a new flappy bird or web app then basic maths with some logic is fine.
