iPhone chosen over a Android handset to be turned into "dual-persona" device that can be used to discuss confidential matters.

>people actually believe this shit
Military-grade is the liberal buzzword of the decade
It's the unfortunate truth that Apple takes device security more seriously than Google. This is coming from an android user.
>want to have full device encryption on my phone as a basic security measure if it gets lost or stolen
>stock roms are full of bloatware and google shit
>all the pajeet roms like CM/LineageOS and their variants have FDE broken
>tfw
God damn i don't want to buy an iPhone.

>as a basic security measure if it gets lost or stolen
Things that only happen to people who are irresponsible with their phones. Keep phone on you at all times and keep pic related on you in case of mugging attempts. This is all you need to physical security.
(((military grade)))
>giving military secrets to apple
this country is finished

7 is more secure than 7S
Don't ask, don't tell
Ok
Corporations are lying so much its basically common practice now.

I feel your pain. My old Nexus5 broke down the other day so I decided to get a cheap Moto G4 Plus to replace it.
Having a newer phone I could run official Nougat on I researched file-based encryption and got sad when I realised how far behind Apple Google are.
And that LineageOS broke the encryption in (some) of their builds made me wanna stay far away from them.
We can only hope that Android get to where iOS is today within an update or two (though I doubt it...)

more like at least twenty
