Ideally you would use asymmetric encryption for identification.

1, picked from an obscure unicode glyph type
>>
The most secure password one can have is six random words. Lookup dice passwords.

Find a novel, and type up the entire thing without using spaces or punctuation.

Case sensitive.

Impossible to forget

32 char is fine
>>
>>58673976
fuck off mira
>>
At least 10, everything less is easily bruteforceable. You also shouldn't use words
>>
>>58673976
I use eight since it's adds a whole other dimension of security for 2 more words and I can remember words more easily in groups of 4.
>>
>>58673976
fairly sure adding one random character to the end of six random words makes it more secure, therefore your assertion is false and you should kill yourself for trying to sound smart
>>
An ideal password woule be one with 0 characters but at the same time is completely secure. We don'tget to have ideal things tho

over 9000

The cardinality of the universal set of strings is infinite, so no shit

One hundred million billion trillion!
>>

case sensitive
with at least 1 number
and at least 2 special characters
it has to be at least 10 characters long
>>
>>58673976
buddy that's been at script kiddie levels of weakness for like 10 years now, and NSA-level organizations have probably known how to attack those types of passwords since the 70s
>>
>>58675402
Anon what does that have to do with anything? Are you just trying to say something that makes you sound smart?
For the record, the cardinality of the set of all strings is finite as far as this universe is concerned. However, what you SHOULD have noted is that the set of all strings of length X has fewer elements than the set of all strings of length X+1, hence why a longer password is better - there are more strings to check
The only reason memorizing a sequence of words is better than memorizing a string of characters of the same length is that the former is easier to remember.
>>
>>58673279
use diceware and/or password manager to generate passwords
>>
>>58673953
>only 2^16 possibilities
weak
>>
>>58676445
There are more unicode characters than that.

hahaha, look at this faggot, he doesn't use randomly generated 32+ character passwords.

why bother
>>
>>58673279
50 minimum. spaces and werds are ok.
>>
>>58673279
Twelve random characters. If you have to be gay you can do the meme HorseBaTter,yFuckMyAss mode if you want, but why bother. 12 random chars isn't being cracked any time soon.
>>
>>58673279
more than 10 if you use special chars and stuff hard to guess. if you are not sure what is "hard to guess" pick something like 16-20 chars. it won't be cracked.
>>
>>58673279
1 really hard one.
>>
30, randomly generated
>>
Depends, what type of usage do you want?

Maybe a textfile with 150k random characters ?

Or do just a 14 character human password?

In either case, i could probably break them both using some form of keylogging or malware. You will never be safe.

Your best defense is anonymity. To not become a target at all in the first place.

But to answer short. I would say use a 14 character password, properly randomized with both upper and lower cases, and atleast 1 symbol and 1 number. That way you will push the public rainbowtables to its core.

Salts are not really useful, because if a person has used the same password in two difference hashes (using separate salts), the password can still be cracked.
>>
>>58677710
Have fun with your 12 random characters. I'll just enjoy my 32 character "gay" passpharses with numbers and special characters that I don't have to struggle to remember.
>>
>>58673279
Use dice ware.
