Childhood is believing you can shitpost only after learning to install Gentoo and writing a SAT solver in C. Adulthood is realizing that you can b8 autists without knowing anything about these topics.
Been outta high school for like 5 years, went to college for and dropped out before the first year ended, am in parents basement and haven't ever gotten a job despite dropping out last March. sophomore in cs. least I'm honest. currently learning c++ and web dev, duck math and stats.
competency means knowing your field, and having experience in its useful applications. linux is useful as a dev/server environment. putting it on your home pc to feel special is stupid.
