How hard is to code a social network?
It's a message board with less features, so easier than that. I guess the hardest part about social network is scaling up once they get popular, you'll have to get into lots of meme tech like parallelism, distributed storage, etc.

Hardest part is getting popular. Scaling problems are easy when money is pouring from every window.

>ram ads up everyone's asshole
>track users to target less intrusive but creepier ads
>make portions of it require payment to use
>shill to VCs, pump it to success, dump to new CEO when you want to "try a new project"

Largely right place at the right time. Also some exclusiveism since he was targeting college frats when it started.
MySpace:
>epileptic GIFs
>pedos
>teenagers being stupid
Facebook:
>college students being stupid
>college students posting nudes
>college students looking for said nudes
>college students

Supreme luck, that he's able to present stolen tech as his sole creation to a group of gullible 'investors'.
