Why should I not mask Tor as FireFox stable?
>>
Isn't not being a special snowflake the whole point of using tor?
>>
>>58647210
I assume most people won't access a website using FireFox 45.7, but rather with 51.
>>
>>58647195
Because that's useless and retarded ?
>>
>>58647246
It's not useless. It's easier to blend among normies with a normie -tier user agent.
>>
>>58647449
Isn't tor connection detected by all sites anyways? Exit nodes all have a "known" IP since most sites let Google track their users and having a hundred users connected to them over the same IP is suspicious no matter what user agent you appear to have. Have you tried posting on 4chan over tor with those settings? It won't work, therefore it's pointless. Not only that, but you're the one being an obvious special snowflake in the tor network and it's easier to isolate you now. It would only make sense if you use tor without connecting to the tor network, which defeats it's purpose.

I have some questions for regular tor users here,
Why is it using outdated firefox? Doesn't that mean it's outdated and more vulnerable?
When will it turn to chromium? I've heard rumors that this might happen since chromium sandboxes tabs making it much more secure.
Does it still use noscript? There was an article about it being malicious or something.

Yeah, the IP would be the only indcation that I'd be using Tor network, not the US also. Not being able to post on 4chan does not make Tor useless, lol

>>58647555
>Why is it using outdated firefox? Doesn't that mean it's outdated and more vulnerable?
No, It's ESR, and is up to date with all ecurity patches.

>>58647555
>When will it turn to chromium?
No.

>>58647555
>Does it still use noscript?
By default, i removed it and use uMatrix instead.
>>
>>58647588
>US
I meant UA.
>>
>>58647588
I wasn't implying posting on 4chan makes it useless, I merely tried to demonstrate the fact that it's still treated as tor and don't see how changing your user agent would trick sites into thinking it's anything else. Also
>it's ESR
Didn't notice, I though those would say "45.7.0 ESR" instead of just the version number.
>>
>>58647195
your shit would get real slow, and it would get discovered pretty fast
>>
>>58647769
>would get real slow
What?
