i have this exact laptop, bought it earlier this year; i did a lot of shopping around and for the price there's really not a whole lot to compare it to, in this price point you're gonna be stuck with a 960m; i got the model with an i5 because who really needs an i7 if you're only playing games, and a matte 1080p screen, and i honestly have no complaints whatsoever

we just got hit with a snowstorm but nothing major, only ~10cm on the ground now, it's pretty warm this year, ~-6 all through this week

speakers are hard to describe in text without some audio representation, but at least they're top-mounted; i mean, they're nothing to write home about. they're gonna beat thinkpad speakers but not macbook speakers, not much bass response but they're definitely not tinny.

if you're gaming you're using headphones anyways, and for casual media consumption they're fine, but don't watch a movie for the first time on them unless you want to experience it the first time with no bass and run-of-the-mill frequency response.
