video rendering like that is done mainly by the CPU. I am running a 6600k right now and it's great but no hyper-threading which is going to be HUGE for what you want to do. getting an i7 even a 6700 or 7700 non k version would perform much better for your usage than an OC'd 6600k or 7600k

1) You can use Xeons and ECC memory on the X99 platform if you want.
2) With content creation, you're a million times more likely to lose work to a software crash than a bit flip. Besides, everything autosaves and anything that takes more than one night to render gets rendered to individual frames.
