Thinking about getting a Dell myself. One of the 12" Latitudes maybe.Used macs for a decade, but I don't think they've made interesting hardware in at least 5 years.
Feels like OS X have been getting worse too I think. Certain applications got replaced by something dumbed down, losing features and utility.
Going back to GNU\Linux will take a while tho. Been ages since I last used that on the desktop. Simple stuff like WiFi just wasn't relevant the last time I used it.

Seriously if you want more bang for your buck get the 2015 macbook pro. It's on sale at most places right now. Same specs pretty much. So you'll be paying less for a better machine.
