What is a decent mic (under $30 for now) for CS:GO and garrys mod?

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Shown in pic related, from my few sec listening to amazon reviews on the mic i know Fifine is absolute trash but fucking amazon doesnt seem to have any decent mics please help me
https://www.amazon.com/Microphone-Condenser-Fifine-Microphones-Games-K667/dp/B01E3S1E18/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1485117769&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=microphone+for+computer&psc=1

I'd consider myself a very casual gamer but quality is important to me because i'm an autistic accountant, however, the mic does not have to be anywhere near audio technica just clear with no trash sound so I do not get made fun of.
What kind of stand mics do you all use???

Also, I do not own any headsets and have no idea what so ever what a good quality sounding headset would be so lets start me off at under $50 for that I suppose

*NOTE: the mic is what i'm really after more so than the headset and I HATE microphones that are quite

thanks friends,

Works better than some no-brand 15/20$ condenser mics and definitely better than webcam mics.

I only recommend it as a last choice however. If you can't find any better alternative by other people here, it's 6$.

Also, being meant for room-scale stuff it will catch ANY sound, not just your voice, so if you live in a noisy place you might want to turn it down anyway.

ill prob go with the cad unless anyone else has any other suggestions, not sure why i didnt see the cad on amazon when i searched
>>

not OP but to expand, what are the important specs for a microphone when you want a good one for clear conversation ?
I don't know anything myself but i tried a couple of cheap microphone and they all were so weak and quiet that it was really bad overall.

Ok so my other question is about mb/sound card. Do you need a sound card ? Say you got a 30$ cheap mic and it sounds horrible because he's too quiet. Can you make it work fine with a dedicated sound card ?

To be precise, all the mic i tried were not usb (jack and jack/xlr)
>>
>>58606705
OP here, is this their most updated/recent mic?
>>
>>58606817
OP here, interesting topic especially since im clueless on this subject
does a usb mic make any difference is quality versus a jack mic?
>>
>>58606826
Not sure I've been using it for CSGO for a year now and I only get compliments on my audio quality.

Only thing I really noticed was the gain levels in windows are SUPER loud, I turned it down to 5 out of 100 and it still clearly picks up my voice from 3-5 feet away.
>>
>>58606855
Slightly, but in your price range not at all.

With $200-300 budget then I'd recommend looking at XLR and a USB audio interface. But for $30-50 USB is by far your best option.

so to make clear this bad boy is the mic i should start off with?

also bro, what is your computer set up if you dont mind and have time? id like to prob go into depth in upgrading my hardware but again, clueless when it comes to this stuff because im not that into it
if you could list parts you use or w/e id greatly appreciate it and also where to order them

>the mic i should start off with?
Yes unless you decide to do voice acting, pod casts, live music recording, or other professional tasks. Then your should upgrade but for gaming, Skype, discord, etc the CAD is fine.

what pop filter did you buy/recommend?
do more expensive ones make a difference
>>
>>58607119
Unless you're in a studio it won't matter, even studios use cheap pop filters because they're more or less the same.

Same with mic arms and shock mounts.
Unless you're a professional there is little reason to spend a lot

For my pop filter, shock mount, and mic arm I think I paid another $25 on top of the $29 I spent for the CAD u37 (it was on sale). My total mic setup was about $60 total.

What the actual fuck. This shit was way ahead of it's time.

I unironically use this during conference calls. It's very clear, but people have mentioned my wall fan and even the clock next to my desk being audible.

Also how do you connect it? I still have the driver files from the older version of the Code Laboratories CL Eye program, but that's paid software now so it's hard to recommend to friends.
>>
>>58606738
Someone I know used this and was banned from the teamspeak because he sounded like a tinny spastic distorted retard.

Why suggest this garbage.
>>
>>58608705
Just look up "CL Eye" on piratebay. If you have friends, just send them the driver files. But since you have the drivers, does it only work at 60Hz? Probably gonna give it a go since it's only $6.
>>
>>58609053
I remember in the camera test for the old CL Eye, you could change it to the 120 Hz. Seemed smoother but I only had a 60 Hz screen so I'm not 100%.
>>
>>58607644
I use AKG K712 pro's, they're probably bit higher end than you need though
