fuck off already
>>

If you feel like, why not? Personally, I don't like Budgie.
>>
>>58600057
Sure, but it lacks packages at the moment, so I'd recommend you to maintain some of.
>>
Budgie is shit, it's not even a DE, it's some Gnome extension at least.
>>
>>58600057
Yes
>>
>>58600057
What is Solus based on? Is it a Ubuntu spinoff?
>>
I highly recommend solus
>>
>>58600463
kevin please
>>
>>58600410
It's independent. Like Debian, Arch, Suse, Rosa, Mageia, PCLinuxOS, Gentoo, Fedora, etc.
>>
>>58600057
Yes. It's pretty good.
I'm using it for my laptop and it just werks, and werks fast.
>>

stateless
lightweight
optimized boot and shutdown
package manager written in C
easy package builder
flatpak for third-party and proprietary softwares
budgie does not get in your way when you work
create from scratch a new menu for mate because the fuckos at mate-desktop can't get work done by themselves
good tool to manage drivers (foss or not)
optimus support
best steam integration to date
kernel upgrade without reboot
"bulletproof kernel updates" you can't break your system when update and you can track different kernel branches see:
https://github.com/ikeydoherty/clr-boot-manager
always use the best of the latest gnome technologies without the bloat
sane default configs, theme and icons

and a shitload of optimization and new under the hood features which come straight outta clear-linux.
>inb4 intel cuck
These guys are litterally doing researches on linux, compilers optimizations and conceptual features to improve the deprorable state of the current linux ecosystem while "engineers" at debian, ubuntu
and neckbeards at arch, gentoo are masturbating at desktops and cry about systemd instead of doing real work.

Once all of these features are implemented, solus will be, by far, the most advanced distro out there. Literally no reason not to use it.
