I've finally finished learning C
Now what?
>>58590783
>finished learning C
One does not simply "finish learning C". That's like saying "I finished learning how to make sushi" or "I finished learning piano".
You "finish learning C" when you've given up programming.
>>58590783
Now go do something useful instead.
>>58590783
whats a good C book for math majors who want to do mathy things like algorthim analysis and cool science stuff ya kno?
>>58590783
* You write a Client-Server architecture in C (Replace JS with C).
* Write a bootloader and your OS in C.
* Write your AI gf in C
Congratulation, you are at the level of a noob
>>58590849
You don't need C for that. Just learn Python and then start with CLRS. Perhaps get a book on combinatorial optimization.
>>58590848
deleet
>>58590783
immediately forget most of it and spend your days shilling C over more capable languages on /g/
>>58590835
C is finite, not a skill
I've finished learning the syntax
>>58590877
isn't C tedious for those
not interested in bootloaders
>>58590783
Did you use the book in picture ?
And how good is it ?
>>58591014
You may know the syntax but you're still learning ways to better implement it.
Do you think you can do MATLAB?
>>58591081
I would say very good, explains everything in detail with a plethora of examples and exercises
>>58590783
>I've finally finished learning C
>Now what?
build a time machine
go back to the 1980s
>>58590783
>>58591314
>I've finally finished learning c, now what?
How about now you learn a language that is relevant today?
Seriously something like memescript or 3.14ton
>>58591014
>C is finite, not a skill
Sure thing buddy. I finished learning the piano too after I sat at one and hit every key. Not even difficult bro. I mean, that's all the notes, right? What else is there to music?
>>58591466
lol @ comparing C to music, programming doesn't require skill, just a decent brain and time
Music actually requires skill
You can get savant musicians, you can't get savant programmers
>>58591609
>Music actually requires skill
You just have to rhyme words or you can make Noise
>>58591609
>programming doesn't require skill
Exactly bud, that's why OP is sitting in front of his text editor right now, writing up a piece of code exactly like all the others that's going to change the world. No creativity involved - no starting from just an idea and a blank page, being able to plan out and structure a bigger picture while still fully understanding its smaller components with a vision for how everything comes together to perform a task and executing on that plan. Not at all a skill you learn when using your language of choice.
Just time and a brain, like, that's why all the hackers in movies are really fast at typing - so that they can take less time! You and me are on the same page bro.
Learn a real language.
>>58590783
Learn how to make GUIs by writing code(add component, set attributes, event listeners, etc)
>>58590783
Start learning C#, the updated version of C.
>>58590783
I seriously doubt that.
>>58591609
No, GOOD music requires skill. Much like how GOOD programming requires skill.
You can now learn an actual good language like Spanish or German.
>>58590783
is that the book you used, was it any good?
>>58592032
None of your fucking business.
>>58592064
thanks
>>58590835
>finished learning piano
Fugg you for evoking my pain
t. Music degree in conducting, but want to be pianist
>>58590783
Read up buddy
>>58590783
Step it up and learn C++, then move on to Haskell

Can you make a server in C, recommend me some books
What book for C programming would be an interesting read ?
