Failure prone? I've had one of these in my machine for years now so I can take my animation work on the go, any alternatives are welcomed.

I tried using the drive for multiple operating systems (windows, linux, and free nas) it just won't be recongized by most of the motherboards i had.

Tried it on some dell core 2 duo rig for a home server and had it keep failing for multiple times and trying to get it to boot off of anything mac related is just eww, it just won't work at all.

I installed Fedora 25 with this exact drive just yesterday, it worked fine.

slider feels cheap is my only complaint. i keep it's dick sticking out all the time anyways. who cares it was the cheapest one at walmart

I even tried this bad boy too but it kinda work but not all the way it kind of glitched out of the installation process.

I use one of those for a few files.
Not many reads or writes and it's lasted long enough.
Any reason I should replace it? I have access only to USB 2.0

I have a 128GB Samsung drive. Don't use it currently, need to find a use for it. I don't need a USB really, and I have smaller ones for other uses like OS installs.

Gonna get a few more 8GB drives and put OS installs and shit that I would need.
