Why can't people stop renaming old technology with new buzzwords, trying to make it seem new and exciting? Its the same stuff it has always been, with new marketing hype.

Been very happy with DigitalOcean over the last few years, no complaints.

I would like one to make a VPN that I can use to post on 4chan.

Only issue is that I am afraid the Chinese would try to break into it.
And I don't know how to do it.

I use digitalocean for this purpose.
Super easy.

1) get anything running ssh
2) connect and make a tunnel through ssh (linux command line is -D 8080, putty I show in my scrot)
3) use socks 5 proxy on your local port 8080 in your browser. I use foxyproxy to allow me to set up patterns for when to use the proxy (any site with 4chan in the URL)

and regarding the chinese, just turn off password login in your sshd config (generally /etc/ssh/sshd_config - look for the line: PasswordAuthentication no )
Use something like this for instructions on making a key for ssh so you don't even need a password (and in fact cannot log in with one) http://askubuntu.com/questions/46930/how-can-i-set-up-password-less-ssh-login
